Resolution Revolution Revelations

Ahem....
...This year I resolve to...
...um...
...well...
...this year I resolve to be more decisive!

Seriously, I am going to try (no promises, mind you) to stop putting things off.
Really, I would procrastinate if I ever get around to it.

I have a list of projects to do.

Its getting longer.

Ok, there are volumes.

But every time I look around I just get overwhelmed by what I see.
Some of the things I enjoy doing, so I spend longer than necessary on. (like working on spreadsheets, woohoo!)
Other things; refacing the cabinets (1 year), building my pile of scale models (4+ years), trimming out upstairs (14 years) and straightening the workroom (forever) just keep getting pushed back.

I'll keep you posted on my progress.

When I get around to it.

feel free to purge yourself and post your resolutions here.

Happy New Year!

UPDATE Fair Health Care

Dec 3oth, 10 days after the initial injury, she will be getting plates and pins to repair her shoulder and arm. Seems there is only one Doctor in all of Ontario that could help this poor Woman.

44 Hours after her fall, my Mother In Law underwent surgery on her hip.
But...there is a but... she will have to wait up to A WEEK AND A HALF to get her shoulder and arm repaired!

Talk amongst yourselves.

If this upsets you, and you want to try and do something about it, contact your MPP.

You can find his/her contact info at the link below

Fair Health Care

As promised, I am posting about things that get my blood pressure going.
So here is a start.

A 73 year old Quebec Man complains of chest pains while golfing, and gets by-pass surgery the next day.
A 41 year old Ontario Woman finds a lump in her breast, and gets treatment in California in a few short weeks.
A 32 year old Ontario man breaks his hand playing hockey on Saturday night, gets corrective surgery on Monday morning.
A 79 year old diabetic Woman from Ontario falls and suffers multiple broken bones, and waits more than a day for surgery to repair the breaks.

The difference?

The first was Jean Chretien.
The second, Belinda Stronach.
The third, Bryan McCabe of the Toronto Maple Leafs.
The last, my Mother in Law, who has been lying in Hospital for, as of 1130pm Friday, Dec 21st, 33 painful hours.

Now tell me again we don't have a two-tiered health system.
